  • STYLED: Birch Foldover Clutch

The Birch Foldover Clutch is our ALL TIME bestseller.  It's always available to purchase, but goes back and forth between being ready to ship and made to order since I have a hard time keeping up with demand for it!  I currently have a few in stock so I thought I would be a good time to share a few ideas for how to style this pretty clutch!
DATE NIGHT: Add a flirty top, white denim, and a sexy wedge.
ALONE: Your husband has the kids for a few hours. You have a hair appointment and a date with Target. Ditch your mom bag for a clutch that just holds the essentials. And enjoy browsing every. single. aisle.
GIRLS NIGHT OUT: Hit the town with your favorite ladies in a cute top, your best fitting jeans, cute booties, and this pretty clutch! All that’s missing is 🍷.
Get the clutch HERE and be sure to use #DFDhappymail to show us how you style it!

  • STYLED : Black Skinny Scarf

This is the first of series that I'll be adding to the blog called STYLED.  In these posts I'll share fun ways to wear and style your DFD products.  So if you love something and aren't sure how to wear it or what to wear with it, these posts are here to help you!  Please let me know if you have a product request for this series and I'd be happy to help you out!
I'm kicking it off with one of my favorite products in the shop, the skinny scarf!
    1. NECK - This is the obvious choice, but it's also adorable.  Pairing the floral with a neutral is simple and chic.
    2. HAIR - I love the scarves wrapped around a pony or high bun or used as a headband.  It's the perfect way to stay cool and stylish or hide the fact that hair washing day is quickly approaching.
    3. BAG - Add a little extra pop of color to your bag by tying a scarf on.
    4. WRIST - Use the scarf as an unexpected statement bracelet.  Bonus that you don't have to worry about banging it on anything since the fabric is soft and comfortable.  I also love the contrast of the feminine floral with the edgy graphic tee.
Have we convinced you that you need one yet?  Yes?  Awesome!

Thanks to www.drivingmissmacey.com and www.middleofsomewhereblog.com for the styled photos!

  • Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks for Moms

You'd pretty much have to be living under a rock to not know that early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started this week.  If you're a blogger, you're talking about this sale.  I'm not exactly a "blogger", especially seeing as how this is my first blog post, but I do love sharing the things that I love.  I thought you guys would be Nordstrom'd out by now, but since you asked to see my sale picks, I'm happy to share.
If you're new to the infamous #nsale, here's the deal.  The sale started July 12th for cardholders.  It opens to the public on July 19th and runs through August 5th.  What makes this sale unique is that instead of items being marked down at the end of the season, they're on sale at the beginning of the season!  So it's a great time to shop for fall and winter.
I live in San Diego though, which means we don't have much winter to speak of.  I don't need warm sweaters.  I don't need heavy coats, or really any coats for that matter.  I don't need tall boots.  A lot of the sale just isn't relevant for me.  So what am I shopping for during the sale?  Essentials that I can wear pretty much year round that fit my momiform.
Here are my top picks for moms:
If you get one thing from the sale, let it be these.  These are a great price normally, but they're a steal during the sale!  I wear Zella leggings for walks, barre, every day.  The only thing I don't love them for is running.  They run true to size, hold their shape, and aren't see through.  Compare them to your favorite Lulu's and let me know what you think.  I also love this pair!

    2. Denim
The sale is a great time to refresh your denim.  After being pregnant last fall and winter, I am in desperate need of new jeans.  I LOVED this pair from Wit and Wisdom!  Y'all, they have an elastic waistband on the INSIDE.  And at only $45, they're perfect for the post baby transition.  These were true to size for me.
I also love the light distressing on this pair by Kut From the Kloth.  I keep trying destroyed denim and I think I've decided they're just not for me, but I think these will be a winner!

    3.  If you need new booties for the fall, now is the time to get them!  I don't need a new pair this year so I'm trying to resist, but there are some really cute ones in the sale.  These are all under $100!

    4. When the weather cools off, I live in long sleeve tees and cardigans, so I stocked up on a few of these.  They're great with jeans or leggings!  I like this basic tee too!  And the short sleeve version is under $12!

    5.  If you've been around a while, you know I am a huge Kendra Scott fan.  These didn't do much for me online, but I saw them in the store and they are so pretty!  They're big enough to make a statement without being obnoxious.  Go ahead and treat yourself, mama!

I hope this helped to narrow things down for you!  The sale and all the coverage it gets can be a bit overwhelming, but there are some great finds when you take the time to think about what you really need to add to your closet.  I shared a few wardrobe staples here, but there are a lot of fun things in the sale too that I'm not sharing.  One thing I've learned over many years of shopping is that there are always cute new things hitting the racks and there's always another sale, so don't worry if you can't or don't want to buy it all now.  I don't love buying things that I can't wear for months, so I'll save the fun things for closer to the actual season.  I'm betting a lot of it will be marked down again anyway.  I'm working towards a more curated wardrobe and don't want to buy something just because it's on sale.  But if there are items that I know are wardrobe staples for me like these, I want to stock up when they're a little cheaper!  Leave a comment and let me know what you're getting!
